This is a sculpted Catmull-Clark Subdivision model of Sly Cooper, with a background painted by Issac Davis.
This high-rez mesh was initially created to be a render source for Ambient Occlusion and Normal maps for a matching real-time rez model used in-game. Instead of having to make another set of high-res models for marketing, I reused the geometries used to generate the in-game normal and diffuse texture maps. As a result, the image more accurately reflects the character as seen in-game.
All modelling, UVs, high-rez sculpt, textures, posing, rendering was done using Modo. Photoshop was used to edit the textures and adjust the final render.
